Hello! My name is Mary McCullough Humphrey. I am from Shreveport, Louisiana, and I am a Senior at Louisiana State University. I have the privilege of studying apparel design, and have also acquired a minor in interior design. I am extremely passionate about fashion and everything it encompasses. Over the course of three semesters, I have learned how to bring my ideas to life. I am beyond eager to learn and further develop my design skills. Below are my collections and some of my design processes. I hope you see my improvement and enjoy!
My Collections
Quilted Color block Jacket. Fall '22
This cropped jacket was originally inspired by a Halston Jacket from the 70s. I wanted to use a quilted fabric and take inspiration from his Nehru collar. The other elements go with my futuristic military inspired style. Along with this jacket, you will find a quilted mini skirt, cargo pants, and a flight suit in this collection.
Pinstripe. Spring '22
This collection encompasses three pieces that can be dressed up or down. These are THE ultimate closet basics. Like Donna Karan's 7 pieces, I created three garments to make you look effortlessly chic in any setting. In this collection you will find the Knit, Pinstripe, and the Blazer.
The New Classic. Spring '22
This is a future collection I hope to complete, but The New Classic showcases my design process and my love for fashion sketches. I included a mood board to show the trends I noticed at this time. This Collection is elegant, sexy, and timeless.
Corduroy. Fall '21
This collection is made up of garments I created in the first semester I learned to sew. You will see boxer shorts, an A-line skirt, a pair of corduroy pants, and a sheath dress.
